64 11 213 Removing and installing/replacing heater - A/C fan

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove right glovebox with housing.
Remove right footwell channel.
If necessary, remove servodrive for footwell flap.

IMPORTANT: Disconnect battery negative lead.

Loosen screws (1).

Detach current distributor (2) in direction of arrow and lay to one side.

Installation:

Make sure guide (3) is correctly seated in mounting (4).

Release screws (1), (2) and (3).

Remove carrier for current distributor (4).

Unlock plug connections (1), (2) and (3) and disconnect.

Feed out wiring harness (4) and lay to one side.

Installation:

Make sure wiring harness (4) is correctly routed.

Loosen screws (1).

Installation:

Tightening torque = 1.5 +/- 0.3 Nm (64 11 2AZ).

Take out fan for heater/air conditioner (2) in direction of arrow and remove to bottom right.

Installation:

Make sure fan for heater/air conditioner (2) is correctly seated.
