54 31 000 Adjusting convertible top

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove convertible top . See 54 34 101 Removing And Installing Complete Convertible Top .

If the convertible top or the B-pillar is replaced, it may be necessary to adjust the convertible top width:

Measure internal distance between right and left B-pillars (convertible top fastening point).
Measure external distance between shims on main support from right to left.
In event of discrepancies of +/- 3 mm, release screws (1) and remove or install shims (2).
Shims are 1 mm thick.

Further adjustments are not possible.
