51 41 019 Removing and installing/replacing door handle on door trim panel, front left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove Cover On Door Handle .

Loosen screws (1).

Installation:

Tightening torque, see 51 41 2AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Replacement only:

Loosen screws (1).

If necessary, lever out lock (2) and detach lamp (3).

Detach door handle (4) from door trim and if necessary feed out cable.

Installation:

Tightening torque, see 51 41 8AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Installation:

Following parts on door handle (4) must not be damaged or missing:

Bores for screw connection
Bore for light
Sleeves
