17 11 031 Replacing fan cowl (N42 / N40 / N45 / N46) (M54 manual gearbox)

Switch off ignition.

M54 only:

Lift out expansion rivets.

Remove intake hood (1).

N42 / N40 / N45 / N46 only:

Remove intake hood.

Remove front splash guard.

N42 / N40 / N45 / N46 only:

Remove both hoses (1) from holders.

Lever out expansion rivets (2).

Lift out expansion rivet (1).

Remove secondary air filter housing (2) from fan cowl.

Detach plug (1) from AUC sensor.

Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.

Lift out expansion rivet (1).

Release screw (2).

Lift out fan cowl.
