63 99 315 Replacing light bulb(s) for left or right rear light

R50/R53:

Unlock retainers (1) and remove cover (2) from luggage compartment wheel arch trim.

R52:

Tilt cover (1) in direction of arrow away from luggage compartment wheel arch trim (2) and remove.

Up To 07/2004:

NOTE: Rear light (2) removed for purposes of clarity.

Unlock retaining tab (1) and remove socket housing for rear light (2) from rear light.

Turn faulty bulb(s) and pull out of socket housing for rear light.

NOTE:

Bulb, rear fog light.
Bulb, turn indicator light.
Bulb, rear light/brake light.

From 07/2004:

NOTE: Rear light (3) removed for purposes of clarity.

Unlock retaining tabs (1) in direction of arrow and remove socket housing for rear light (2) from rear light (3).

Installation:

Socket housing for rear light (2) is guided over pins (4).

Turn faulty bulb(s) and pull out of socket housing for rear light.

Turn faulty reversing light bulb (3) and pull out of socket housing for rear light.

NOTE:

Bulb, turn indicator light.
Bulb, rear light/brake light.
Bulb, reversing light.
