12 14 521 Replacing crankshaft pulse generator

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Switch off ignition.
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit.
- Check stored fault messages.
- Remove intake air manifold. Refer to 11 61 051 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INTAKE MANIFOLD .
Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Unscrew bolt (2).
Remove impulse sensor.
Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
Tightening torque, refer to 13 62 2AZ in FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
NOTE:
Now clear the fault memory.
