11 51 000 Removing and installing or replacing water pump

Special Tools Required:

11 8 401
11 8 402

Turn off ignition

Disconnect battery. Refer to 12 00 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .

Drain coolant. Refer to 17 00 005 DRAINING AND ADDING COOLANT .

Remove alternator. Refer to12 31 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ALTERNATOR .

Lower front end module.

Remove screws (1) from impact tubes.

Remove screws (2) securing impact tubes to chassis subframe and remove impact tubes.

Tightening torque, (22 N.m.).

Attach special tools 11 8 401 and 11 8 402.

Detach hoses (1) from water pump.

Release mountings or remove screws (2).

Remove water pump (3).

Tightening torque, 11 51 1AZ in ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES- COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .
