11 28 020 Removing and installing/replacing alternator drive belt tensioner

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Remove alternator drive belt. Refer to 11 28 010 REPLACING ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT (W10) .
- Unscrew and remove splash guard. Refer to 51 47 490 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION (ENGINE) .
- Remove wheel. Refer to 36 10 300 REMOVING OR INSTALLING FRONT OR REAR WHEEL .
- Remove wheel arch trim. Refer to 51 71 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH LINER .
Release retaining screws (1) on tensioner.
Tightening torque, refer to 11 28 1AZ in ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES- COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .
IMPORTANT:
Do not disconnect pretensioned spring (risk of injury).
Assemble engine.
