11 22 500 Removing and installing or replacing flywheel

NOTE:
For Special Tool identification, see ENGINE- SPECIAL TOOLS - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 and ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM - SPECIAL TOOLS - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .
Special Tools Required:
- 11 8 320
- 12 2 150
Remove clutch. Refer to CLUTCH .
Use special tool 12 2 150 and special tool 11 8 320 to hold crankcase vibration damper in position.
Release screws in sequence (8-1) and remove flywheel.
Installation:
Pay attention to position mark (1) on flywheel and position mark (2) on crankshaft.
NOTE:
Flywheel screws must be replaced.
Installation:
Tighten down bolts in sequence (1-8).
Tightening torque, refer to 11 22 1AZ in ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES- COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .
