Removal & Installation (Front)

- Front seat belt pretensioners are part of seat belt buckle assembly. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
- Remove appropriate front seat. Remove outer seat trim panel. Disconnect seat belt buckle pretensioner harness connector. See Figure . Pretensioner mounting screw and seat belt buckle pretensioner.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten pretensioner mounting screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
