61 31 035 Removing and installing/replacing steering column adjustment lever

Version up to 09/98:

Extend steering column up to stop and move downwards.

Open steering column casing at bottom. Refer to STEERING COLUMN LOWER TRIM SECTION .

Open steering column casing at top. Refer to STEERING COLUMN UPPER TRIM SECTION .

Press down clips and remove switch.

Pull off connectors.

Version from 09/98:

Remove lower section of steering column casing. Refer to STEERING COLUMN LOWER TRIM SECTION .

Disconnect plug connection (1) in direction of arrow.

Raise lock (1) with a screwdriver in direction of arrow and pull out switch for steering column adjustment (2) in direction of arrow.
