Check brake lining thicknesses with measuring gauge at front and rear. For subsequent procedure, refer to DISC - M5, 525I, 530I & 540I .
NOTE:
Issue a separate invoice for replacing the brake linings.
Remove front and (if necessary) rear disk brake linings. For further information on how to proceed, refer to DISC - M5, 525I, 530I & 540I .
- Removing and installing front disk brake linings.
- Removing and installing rear disk brake linings.
NOTE:
- Clean brake shafts.
- Replace brake linings if they drop below minimum thickness (refer to DISC BRAKE SPECIFICATIONS ).
- Replace brake disks if they drop below minimum thickness (refer to DISC BRAKE SPECIFICATIONS ) and in event of scoring, heat cracks, lateral runout or thickness difference.
- Apply a thin coat of grease to wheel centering on light alloy wheels.
