Removal & Installation: Stabilizer: Removal

  1. Raise and support front of vehicle. Turn wheels to straight ahead position and remove wheel.
  2. Remove underbody protection. Unscrew bolts (1, 2) and remove reinforcement plate. See Figure.
  3. Unfasten nut on pressure rod with open end wrench and remove from stabilizer. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove both rubber mounts (1, 2). See Fig 2.
  5. Release guide joint in swivel bearing on left side of car. See GUIDE JOINT .
  6. Lift stabilizer bar over drive shafts and remove towards left.
