Tension Struts: Installation

- Press swivel bearing up to stop and note the mark indicating the installation position. Replace self-locking nut and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Installation is reverse of removal. Insure all spigots and bores are free of grease. Replace self-locking nuts and use washer where removed. If necessary, brace on hex cap nut. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Insert cap in clip. See Figure.
- If the tension struts were replaced, an axle alignment check must be performed. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
