Brake Booster: Removal

- Remove the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER .
- Remove trim from pedal assembly.
- Remove brake booster from brake pedal and from engine firewall.
- Remove emergency siren with holder.
- Force linkage of windshield wiper arms off wiper motor. Swivel out linkage to side.
- Detach cover/cowl and fold out towards top.
- Pull the vacuum hose (3) off of the brake unit. See Fig 1.
- Carefully swing out the brake booster and remove towards top.
CAUTION:
Do not use any force when removing and installing the brake booster unit. The unit can be damaged under certain circumstances.
