51 16 400 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Roller Sun Blind At Fixed Side Window Of Left Or Right Rear Door

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

• Remove trim on roller sun blind of rear door. Refer to 51 16... DISENGAGING AND ENGAGING ROLLER SUN BLIND ON LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR .
• Remove rear door trim panel. Refer to 51 42 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Pull out pull plate (1) from roller sun blind slightly.

Press pin (2) and remove mounting plate (3).

Release screws (1).

Lever out roller sun blind (2) at top (A) and pull out in direction of arrow (B).

Installation: 

The small roller sun blind also acts as the rear guide rail of the large roller sun blind (3).

Therefore insert small roller sun blind correctly in guide (1) and brush cable (2) of large roller sun blind (3).

Installation: 

Following parts on roller sun blind (3) must not be damaged or missing:

1. 1) Rubber mount.
2. 2) Pull plate.
3. 4) Pull plate.

Adjusting: 

If cover of roller sun blind (1) sags at edge (A) or (B), this can be corrected by turning eccentric (2).
