51 16 040 Removing And Installing/Replacing Housing (Cover) On Left Or Right Door Mirror

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove mirror glass. Refer to 51 16 026 REPLACING MIRROR GLASS .

NOTE: The housing is secured without play by the four multitooth catches (2) in the clips (3).

Unlock catches (1 and 2) with a screwdriver.

Pull on housing and unlock all four clips (3) in succession.

Installation:

Replace all clips (3).

Installation:

Catches (1) and guides (2) on housing (3) must not be damaged.
