63 17 061 Replacing left or right fog lamp

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove fog lamp. Refer to 63 17 060 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FOG LAMP (FROM 10/2003) or 63 17 060 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FOG LAMP (UP TO 10/2003) .

WARNING: Follow instructions for handling light bulbs (exterior lights). Refer to 63 99 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR HANDLING LIGHT BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .

Up To 10/2002:

Turn cover (1) counterclockwise through approx. 45° and remove.

Pull plug connection (1) out of housing and disconnect.

Press retainers (2) in direction of arrow and remove bulb (3).

From 10/2002:

Turn bulb holder (1) in direction of arrow and remove from fog lamp (2).

Installation:

Note bulb type. Refer to 63 17 FRONT FOG LAMPS, ADDITIONAL LAMPS E53 .
Adjust fog lamps. Refer to 63 10 014 ADJUSTING FOG LAMPS .
