Brake Caliper: Disassembly

  1. Remove caliper. Remove pads from caliper. Remove caliper piston retaining ring (if equipped) and dust boot. Insert wooden block in caliper cavity.
  2. While keeping fingers clear of piston bore, slowly apply air pressure to fluid inlet of caliper to force out piston. Carefully remove piston seal without damaging caliper bore.
