51 16 220 Replacing trims for center console

Remove oddments tray. Refer to 51 16 200 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CENTER CONSOLE .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screws (2).

Remove base (3) for center console and place on a clean surface.

NOTE: The operation "Removing base for center console" ends here.

Removing Front Cup Holder:

Release screws (1).

Remove cup holder (2) from base (3) for center console.

Installation:

Left/right catches (1) must be correctly secured.

All springs (2) on cup holder (3) must not be damaged.

Removing Decorative Trim On Front Ashtray Cover:

Release screws (1) and remove decorative trim from ashtray cover.

Removing Front Ashtray:

Release screws (1) and remove ashtray (2) from base (3) for center console.

Replacement Of Base Of Center Console Only:

Release screws (1).

Remove trim (2) for switch from base (3) for center console.
