51 16 000 Removing and installing/replacing mirror on left or right front door

Remove speaker in window frame of front door. Refer to 65 13 070 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SPEAKER (ON WINDOW FRAME, LEFT OR RIGHT) .

Unfasten cable clip (1).

Pull off adhesive tape (2) and expose wire (3).

Lever out cover (1) and release screw underneath.

Pull cover (3) to one side.

Release screw (5) and detach mirror (4) with cable (2).

Installation:

Tightening torque, (6 N.m.). Only for new rearview mirror (replacement) for initial screw connection (shaping of thread-cutting screws), (8 N.m.).

Installation:

Install mirror base with seal (1) and sound insulation (2).

Carry out function check.
