Swivel Bearing: Removal

- Remove wheel bearing. See WHEEL BEARING .
- Release nut on tie rod. See Figure .
- Force off steering tie rod with special tool (31 1 100/130). The special tool must be converted if it is to be used on the right tie rod. See Fig 1 .
- Remove guard plate. See Fig 2 .
- Remove control arm and tension strut from swivel bearing.
- Pull swivel bearing downwards and remove.
