Trailing Arm: Removal

- Raise and support rear of vehicle. Remove rear wheel.
- Remove parking brake cable from parking brake lever. See appropriate DISC article in BRAKES.
- Remove coil spring. See COIL SPRING .
- Disconnect ABS speed sensor.
- Disconnect brake pad wear indicator, if necessary.
- Unscrew stabilizer on trailing arm, if necessary.
- Install brake pedal support and actuate brake pedal. This prevents brake fluid from escaping from the brake system when the brake line is disconnected. Disconnect brake line at union on trailing arm. See Figure .
- Using a jack, support trailing arm from underneath. Remove 2 trailing arm-to-rear subframe bolts. Remove trailing arm. See Fig 1 .
