65 99 ... Test mode for BMW car radio (Bavaria C Reverse III)

The device "Bavaria C Reverse III(c)" has a test mode with which various device-internal items of information can be displayed and various operating modes can be set.

Starting Test Mode:

Press keys "2" and "5" simultaneously while switching the radio on. A capital "S" appears in the display.

This service mode is abandoned by switching the radio on and off once.

Changing Increase In Volume When Traffic Information Is Broadcast:

Press the "VF" button for approx. 4 seconds until a "0" appears in the display. The station will be a little louder. With search run button, volume can be raised in 5 steps.

The factory setting is "0".

The regulating range amounts to +/- 6,25 dB.

This mode is abandoned by pressing "VF" key again. The test mode remains activated.

Adjusting Roadspeed-Dependent Volume (GAL):

Press station button "3" for approx. 4 seconds until a "2" appears in the display. This value can be changed by using the automatic tuning rocker.

The factory setting is "2".

Regulation range:

"1": weak increase.

"2": medium increase.

"3": strong increase.

This mode is abandoned by pressing the "3" key again. The test mode remains activated.

Changing From "Distance" To "local" In Italy Mode:

Press toggle switch "m" for approx. 4 seconds until an "H" or "L" appears in the display. This setting can be changed by using the automatic tuning rocker.

The factory setting is "H".

Regulation range: "H": distance; "L": local.

This mode is abandoned by pressing the "m" key again. The test mode remains activated.
