Wheel Bearing: Installation

- Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
- Screw in guide sleeve (1) of special tool (31 2 110) onto stub axle for entire length of threads, and press NEW bearing race onto stub axle. See Fig 1 .
- If applicable, install guard plate. See Figure .
- Use installer to press NEW hub/wheel bearing assembly onto stub axle. Install NEW collar nut and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Stake collar nut.
- Apply sealing compound on a NEW hub grease cap, and install cap.
