Basic Layout Of The Display

The basic layout is shown using the E60 as an example.

Each menu item has certain associated input options or information.

For example, when "Telephone" is activated, the 2nd menu level opens. A number of other items are listed for selection on this menu level. Sliding the controller forward takes you up one level in the menu hierarchy.

"Navigation" Menu

The functions that can be selected on the first menu level are as follows:

Navigation

Address book
Traffic information

Each menu item has certain associated input options or information. For example, when "FM" is activated "Set" is automatically displayed. Pushing the controller down enables you to select a number of settings.

Each menu item has certain associated input options or information. For example, when "Air distribution" is activated you can slide the controller (to left or right, as applicable) to toggle between air distribution for the driver's side and air distribution on the passenger side. In the same way, sliding the controller (to the rear or forward, as applicable) enables you to select the individual options.

"Settings" Menu (i = Information)

If the controller is pressed with the start menu selected, the "Settings" menu is called up. The individual user settings can be selected using this menu. The following menu items are available:

Traffic information settings
Vehicle settings
Service
Communication settings
