11 37 020 Removing and installing/replacing servomotor for eccentric shaft (cyl. 1 to 4) (N63 O1)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove front axle with engine and transmission. See REMOVING/INSTALLING FRONT AXLE WITH ENGINE/TRANSMISSION (DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION)or REMOVING/INSTALLING FRONT AXLE WITH ENGINE/TRANSMISSION (MANUAL GEARBOX) .
• Remove RIGHT INTAKE PLENUM .

Set intermediate shaft to zero lift with screw (1).

Release screws (1).

Lever out the radial shaft seal (1) with a suitable tool, if applicable.

Installation note: 

Pull off and replace radial shaft seal (1) in direction of arrow if necessary.

Installation note: 

Press the radial shaft seal (1) to the limit position on the housing.

The gearing of the worm gear and the eccentric shaft must be greased with LONGTIME PD 1 (4.1) .

Screw in the actuator drive in direction of arrow evenly with the shaft (1) over the gearing of the intermediate shaft to the limit position.

Installation note: 

Insert bolts.

Tightening torque: 11 37 4AZ .

The plug connection must audibly engage at the actuator drive.

Assemble engine.

Check function of Digital Engine Electronics.
