51 71 387 Removing and installing/replacing rear water gutter trim (rear lid) on left or right

E63 only:
Release clips (5).
Pull off rubber seal (6).
Remove trim (4) towards rear.
E64 only:
Slide stop spring (1) to end of gas strut (2) and lever out gas strut (2).
Release clips (5).
Pull off rubber seal (6).
Feed out cable guide (3) and remove trim (4) towards rear.
IMPORTANT:
If clip mountings are removed during further operations (e.g. painting), always replace these mounting to ensure watertightness.
