11 40 000 Checking engine oil pressure (N63O1)

Special tools required:

NOTE:
To check the engine oil pressure, remove the oil pressure switch and install and connect the special tool.
NOTE:
A small amount of engine oil emerges when the oil pressure switch is removed.
Have a cleaning cloth ready.
Have a cleaning cloth ready.
Necessary preliminary work:
- Follow BMW diagnosis instruction
Remove oil filter with special tool 11 9 240 .
Mount oil filter element (2) on special tool 11 7 470 .
Screw special tool 11 7 470 into crankcase to max. 40 Nm.
Screw special tool 11 7 430 into special tool 11 7 470 with no more than 10 Nm.
Attach special tool 11 4 310 to special tool 11 7 430 using its union nut with maximum 15 Nm.
Hand-tighten hundred-bar sensor 0 431 592 onto special tool 11 4 310.

Start engine and check engine oil pressure.
