Schematic overview and setpoint values
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 45 other vehicles, including the 2016 BMW M5, 2016 BMW 550i xDrive, 2016 BMW 550i, 2016 BMW 535i xDrive, and 2016 BMW 535i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The maximum pressure in the high-pressure range is restricted to 245 bar. if such a high pressure arises, the high-pressure circuit is relaxed to the low-pressure range by a pressure limiting valve. The pressure change does not cause a change in the fuel volume. The resulting pressure peak is compensated for by the low-pressure damper when entering the low-pressure range.
