Removal & Installation

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove seat frame. See 52 24 005 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Rear Seat .

Detaching cover and padding:

If necessary, mark seating of retainers
Release retainers in marked areas
Remove seat cover from padding
Remove all remaining retainers from seat cover and/or padding

Installation:

Feed cable through hole in padding
Insert new retainers with special tool 52 0 050. In so doing, enclose wire in padding and trim wire of cover

Replacing cover:

Pull all trim wires out of seat cover
If necessary, cut in take-up for trim wires of new cover
Push trim wires into new seat cover
