51 47 312 Replacing footrest for front passenger compartment

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE:

Footrest (1) is glued to carpet along line (2).

Adhesive bead must remain on carpet (risk of damage).

Heat footrest (1) with hot air blower and thereby release adhesive bead from footrest (1).

If necessary, place footrest (1) under tension with assembly wedge and pull off in inward direction while applying heat.

Installation: 

Heat footrest (1) with hot air blower and apply adhesive bead along line (1) with hot-melt adhesive gun.

Place footrest (1) on carpet and stick on.
