61 62 090 Removing and installing/replacing shaft bearing for wiper arm

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove WIPER ARM FOR REAR WIPER

Secure rear window button (2) against falling down.

Release nut (1) and remove sealing ring underneath.

Tightening torque 61 62 2AZ .

IMPORTANT: Danger of water penetration. Always replaced micro-coated nut (1) and associated sealing ring. New sealing ring must not show any signs of damage.

Remove caps (1).

Release nuts behind it and carefully remove wiper pivot bearing (2).

Tightening torque 61 62 3AZ .

Installation note:

Make sure wiper pivot bearing (2) is correctly fitted.

To facilitate installation, coat the rear-window button and wiper pivot bearing with lubricant (e.g. low-surface-tension water or G13*).
