41 12 535 Stripping Operations - Replacing Luggage Compartment Floor And Both Side Members (Tail Panel Removed)

NOTE: Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list basically represents the removal sequence.

Remove exhaust system (job number: 18 00 020)
Remove heat shields
Remove left and right trailing links (job number: 51 71 482)
Remove cross reinforcement (job number: 51 71 480)
If fitted: Remove active anti-roll bar at rear (job number: 37 12 220)
Remove carbon canister (FR number: 16 12 010)
Remove left and right rear wheel arch covers (job number: 51 71 041)

Undo nut (1) and remove negative battery cable.

Tightening torque 61 21 6AZ .

Undo nut (2) and cable channel.

Undo positive battery cables (3) from luggage compartment floor and put to one side with cable channel.

Remove battery crash pad (4).

Undo latch mechanisms and remove rear bleeder (1).

Release screws (2) and wiring harness and place to one side.

Release wiring harness (3) and place to one side.

Installation note:

The rear ventilation (1) must not be damaged. (watertightness).

All latch mechanisms must engage audibly.

Release screw connections/plug connections and remove holder (1) with control unit.

Release wiring harness (2) and place to one side.

Remove insulating mat (3).

Undo latch mechanisms and remove rear bleeder (1).

Undo screws for fuse box (2). Put fuse box to one side.

Release wiring harness (3) and place to one side.

Remove insulating mat (4).
