33 32 125 Replacing a ball joint in left or right steering stub/wheel carrier

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove SWINGING ARM .

Lift out circlip (1).

Installation note:

Install retaining ring (1).

Pull out ball joint with special tool 33 3 011 , 33 4 192 , 33 4 191 , 33 4 193 .

Slotted side of special tool 33 4 191 must point to wheel carrier.

Install new ball joint with special tools 33 3 011 , 33 4 192 , 33 4 191 , 33 4 194 up to limit position.

Install new circlip.

After installation:

Carry out wheel alignment procedure . See 32 00 150 KDS CHASSIS/WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or 32 00 155 KDS WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT VEHICLE LOAD .
