51 71 387 Removing and installing/renewing rear water channel cover (rear lid) on left or right

Release clamps (1).
Remove gasket (2).
Unclip water channel cover (3) at catches (4) from bumper panel.
Remove water channel cover (3) in direction of arrow.
NOTE:
If clip mountings are removed during further operations (e.g. painting), always replace these mounting to ensure watertightness.
Installation note:
Catches (1) on water channel cover (2) must not be damaged or missing.
When installing water channel cover (2) first clip catches (1) into bumper panel.
