51 47 066 Removing and installing/replacing illuminated rocker panel trim on front left or right entrance (outer)

Necessary preliminary work:

Release ROCKER PANEL TRIM AT FRONT (watch out for wiring)
Remove FRONT DOOR SILL COVER STRIP

Detach edge protection (3) in area of entrance cable duct (4).

Pull off adhesive tape (2) for fixing cable (1) and slip cable (1) out of cable duct (4).

Installation note:

Re-secure cable (1) with adhesive tape (2).

Close off entrance cable duct (4) again so it is watertight.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Slip out cable and set down illuminated rocker panel trim.

Installation note:

Check lighting function.
