72 11... Position of checkpoints for the front seat with seat-integrated seat belt system (SGS)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS for handling airbag modules and pyrotechnical belt tensioners.
Incorrect handling can cause airbag deployment or belt tensioner activation and cause injury.
Plug connections for the pyrotechnic belt tensioner are no longer marked "Orange".

IMPORTANT: If a seat belt is replaced that was damaged due to an accident, the affected seat must generally be checked for damages.

Check the contact surface of the safety belt roller for deformation:

Partially disassemble the backrest.

Rear view of the disassembled front seat:

Belt deflector (1) may not indicate cracks or breaks. Roller (2) must freewheel and may not indicate cracks or breaks.

In the event of cracks or breaks, the belt deflector must be replaced.

Rear view of the disassembled front seat:

Cross member (1) may not indicate deformation.

If the cross member is deformed, the front seat must be replaced.

Rear view of the disassembled front seat:

Belt skid (1) may not indicate cracks or breaks.

In the event of cracks or breaks, the belt deflector must be replaced.

Cross member (2) may not indicate deformation.

If the cross member is deformed, the front seat must be replaced.

Contact surface in the area of the belt holder (1), mounting bolt of belt holder (2) may not indicate deformation.

The contact surface must be flat.

If the contact surface is deformed, the front seat must be replaced.

The contact surface of the seat belt roller (1) may not indicate deformation.

The contact surface must be flat.

The mounting bolt of the seat belt roller (2) may not indicate deformation or cracks.

If the contact surface is deformed and/or if the deformation is visible in the area of the mounting bolt of the seat belt roller, the front seat must be replaced.

The mount of the pyrotechnical belt tensioner (1) may not indicate deformation.

If the mount is deformed and/or has cracks, the front seat must be replaced.
