84 50 565 Replacing Bluetooth cable aerial

NOTE: If a Combox is installed, the Bluetooth aerial is in the wiring harness to the Combox.

Bluetooth cable aerial installation location (E61) when Combox is installed.

Remove REAR SEAT .

Reposition underbody panelling on the left side.

Unlock and disconnect plug connection of Bluetooth cable aerial (2) at Combox (1).

Secure Bluetooth cable aerial (2) repair kit at wiring harness for entrance, and close plug connection (1).

After successful completion of function check, disconnect start and end of faulty Bluetooth cable aerial at first mounting point.

NOTE: If the vehicle is equipped with a high equipment headunit, the Bluetooth aerial is located in the wiring harness to the high equipment headunit.

Installation location for Bluetooth cable aerial (E61) with equipment including HU-H.

Remove center console. See 51 16 165 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) CENTER CONSOLE OVERVIEW .

Remove HEADUNIT .

Unlock and disconnect plug connection (1) of Bluetooth cable aerial to headunit.

Route repair kit for Bluetooth cable aerial along the wiring harness to the center console and then attach it.

Connect the plug connection (1) for the Bluetooth cable aerial to the headunit.

NOTE: Following the successful functional check, disconnect the start of the defective Bluetooth cable aerial at the first mounting point after the headunit.

Route repair kit for Bluetooth cable aerial (1) along the wiring harness below the center console (2) to the end point and attach it.

NOTE: Following the successful functional check disconnect the end of the faulty Bluetooth cable aerial at the last mounting point below the center console.

Reassemble the vehicle.
