65 11 075 Removing and installing/replacing DVD changer

Special tools required:

00 9 327

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes 61 35... NOTES ON ESD PROTECTION (ELECTRO STATIC DISCHARGE) .

NOTE: Comply with notes and notes on HANDLING OPTICAL FIBRES .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE
Remove trim for instrument panel at bottom right. See 51 45 195 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTTOM RIGHT INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM (US VERSION ONLY) or 51 45 195 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR LOWER RIGHT INSTRUMENT PANEL (ECE ONLY) .

Open glove box cover (3).

Unclip trims (1) with a suitable tool and release screws behind.

Using special tool 00 9 327 , press DVD changer (2) down slightly and then pull out forward out of glove box.

Pull DVD changer (2) out of guide.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Remove DVD changer (2).

Installation note:

Insert DVD changer (2).

Pull down wiring harness (3) over opening (4).

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/CODING .
