65 77 532 Removing and installing/replacing front left sensor (US version only)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove front left wheel arch cover. See 51 71 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER (FRONT AND REAR SECTIONS) .

Release screw (1) on auxiliary radiator holder (2).

Detach holder (2) and carefully remove it from the work area.

Installation note:

Holder (2) must be correctly seated in the designated guides.

Release screw (1).

Remove the auxiliary water pump including holder.

Remove the auxiliary water pump (1) from the work area as shown and tie up.

Release screw (1) on air duct (2).

Fold air duct (4) to one side.

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque 65 77 2AZ .

Feed out sensor (1).

Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.

Installation note:

Make sure sensor (1) is in correct installation position.

Sensor surface must point upwards.

Plug connection (2) must point in opposite direction to direction of travel.
