63 12 140 Removing and installing (replacing) left headlight with LED technology (late version)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove front bumper panel. See 51 11 156 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) FRONT BUMPER PANEL .

WARNING: Follow notes for HANDLING BULBS/LIGHT SOURCES (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) !

Lever out expanding rivets (1) on engine compartment lid seal (2).

Remove seal for engine compartment lid (2) on left.

Release screws (1) on headlight (3) at top.

Tightening torque 63 12 1AZ .

Release screws (1) on headlight (2) at bottom.

Tightening torque 63 12 1AZ .

Pull out headlight (1) in direction of arrow slightly.

Disconnect plug connection (1) on headlight (2) and remove headlight.

Replacement only:

Modify LED main light module. See 63 11 800 REPLACING LEFT LED MAIN LIGHT MODULE LEFT or 63 11 805 REPLACING RIGHT LED MAIN LIGHT MODULE .
Modify LED cornering light module. See 63 11... REPLACE LEFT TURN INDICATOR LED MODULE or 63 11 735 REPLACING RIGHT CORNERING LIGHT LED MODULE .

Installation note:

Adjust HEADLIGHT .
