63 11 848 Replace both the left LED fans

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove wheel arch cover (front section). See 51 71 038 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER (FRONT SECTION) .
• Remove seal mounting for engine compartment lid. See 51 76 035 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT ENGINE COMPARTMENT LID SEAL LOCATOR .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 63 11 6AZ .

Remove protective cap (2).

Installation note: 

Check protective cap (2) for correct fit.

Screw traps should not be damaged or missing.

The seal (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Replace protective cap (2) if necessary.

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 63 11 5AZ .

Pull out the LED-fan (2).

Unlock and disconnect connector (3).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 63 11 6AZ .

Remove cover (2).

Installation note: 

Check protective cap (2) for correct fit.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 63 11 4AZ .

Remove LED module (3).
