52 24 400 Replacing seat cover for rear seat

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR SEAT

Fig 1: Identifying Rear Seat Welt In Marked Area

Lever out welt in marked area.

Fig 2: Identifying Rear Seat Clamps In Marked Areas

Release clamps in marked areas.

Installation note:

Remove remaining clamps from cover and upholstery.

Insert new clamps with special tool 52 0 050 .

Detaching cover and upholstery:

Release all clamps in marked area
Remove seat cover from padding
Remove remaining clamps from cover and upholstery

Installation note:

Insert new clamps with special tool 52 0 050 .

Replacing cover:

Pull all trim wires out of seat cover
If necessary, cut in mounting for trim wires of new cover
Push trim wires into new seat cover

If necessary, replace head restraint guide (1).

Lever out detent ring (2) with plastic wedge.
