16 13 015 Removing and installing/replacing tank leak diagnosis module (petrol/gasoline vehicles with US DMTL version)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release bumper at bottom right (do not remove).

Release screws (2) and nuts (1) and remove stoneguard (2).

Installation note:

Check and, if necessary, renew plastic nuts/sheet metal screws.

Release screw (1) and shift carbon canister slightly to one side.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Pull diagnosis module (3) out of carbon canister in direction of arrow. If necessary, push diagnosis module slightly away from holder.

Installation note:

Replace gasket.
