67 31 540 Removing and installing/replacing backrest upper section adjustment motor

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove the backrest cover from the front seat. See 52 14 407 REPLACING BACKREST COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) or 52 14 408 REPLACING BACKREST COVER FOR FRONT PASSENGER SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRICAL) .

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 67 31 4AZ .

Remove the powertrain (3) from the gearbox.

Carry out FUNCTION CHECK WITH ADAPTER CABLE .
INITIALIZE the drive for backrest upper section adjustment.
