36 10 xxx General notes on BMW light-alloy wheel

NOTE:
BMW light-alloy wheels are sometimes difficult to differentiate visually from steel disc wheels.
Identifying features:
- Label on BMW light-alloy wheel.
(1) = Indication "Aluminum"
- Wall thickness of rim dish: approx. 8 mm.
- BMW light-alloy wheel is not magnetic.
- The BMW light-alloy wheel can be identified by the part number.
IMPORTANT:
- Use BMW approved, two-piece balance weights only.
- Use specified tools only for mounting two-piece balance weights.
- Do not align BMW light-alloy wheel, replace damaged BMW light-alloy wheel.
- Notches in BMW light-alloy wheel can lead to cracking.
- Do not lubricate wheel studs.
- When fitting tires, do not damage BMW light-alloy wheel, e.g. through use of sharp-edged retaining claws on tire fitting machine.
