54 34 441 Replacing top angle-of-rotation sensor

Open convertible top compartment lid until all hydraulic cylinders are completely extended.

Support soft top compartment lid in SERVICE POSITION .

Disconnect plug connection (3).

Disconnect cable strap at the soft top frame.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 54 34 03AZ .

Remove angle-of-rotation sensor (2).

Teach-in soft top:

Close soft top.
Only in vehicles built before 09/2011: Briefly release the lock button (< 5 seconds).
Operate closing button for 30 seconds (until LED flashes - LED flashes to indicate that the teach-in procedure is complete)
Release closing button.
