54 34 127 Removing and installing/replacing cowl panel trim (soft top fastener)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Open soft top partially until work area is accessible

Release screws.

Installation note:

Insert screws with Loctite.

Observe tightening sequence (1-5).

Tightening torque 54 34 12AZ .

Installation note:

Adjust clamping strip (1) to the soft top latch lock striker (2).

Prepare a spacer or use a drill with a corresponding diameter.

A. = 9 mm

Unclip cover towards front.

Installation note:

Check for secure fit of the cover.

The cover may not rattle or squeak.

If applicable, remove metal clamps from cover.

Bend up metal clamps and insert back into the cover.
