61 35 430 Removing and installing/replacing control unit for regulated rear axle differential lock (GHAS)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove luggage compartment floor trim panel. See 51 47 101 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR TRIM PANEL .

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Unscrew nuts (2).

Remove control unit (3).

Replacement:

Perform VEHICLE CODING/PROGRAMMING .
Perform START-UP .
